At BLOOM, we believe learning shouldn't pause just because school isn't in session.
BLOOM is a private PreK–5 elementary learning program designed to provide students with a full day of engaging educational experiences on Mondays when Blooming Grove ISD is not in session.
Our small-group faith based environment encourages students to stay academically engaged while developing confidence, creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking through meaningful learning experiences.

Elizabeth Dees
Elizabeth Dees
With more than 20 years of experience in STEM, mathematics, engineering, and computer science education, Elizabeth Dees founded BLOOM to provide meaningful, hands-on learning opportunities for elementary students. After graduating with honors with an accounting degree from Texas A&M University and working as a CPA, she discovered her passion for education while volunteering in her children's schools. She went on to teach mathematics for 17 years, earned a Master's degree in STEM Education with an emphasis in engineering from The University of Texas, taught at Thinkery, Austin's children's museum, and later taught middle school engineering for five years. She is currently completing a PhD in STEM Education at Texas Tech University.
Elizabeth believes children learn best through curiosity, creativity, and authentic problem solving. At BLOOM, she combines project-based discovery, STEM learning, and academic enrichment to create engaging Monday experiences that inspire students to explore, create, and grow.
When she's not teaching, she enjoys hikiing and traveling with her husband. Together they have three wonderful children and are blessed with eleven grandchildren, who continually remind her why investing in children's education matters so much.
She is a graduate of Corsicana High School and a descendent of the McSpadden and Watson families of Blooming Grove. As such, she is dedicated to supporting and growing the future generations of this community.
